Mike’s Story
Many moons ago, after degrees in Psychology and in Logic and Metaphysics, I set out as an actor and theatre director. But when my bank manager tired of waiting for Hollywood to call, I became a lecturer in Psychology, taught English and coached entrepreneurs to set up new businesses.
After picking up another degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing, I joined a small management consultancy
advising on the procurement and introduction of new technology and the management of associated change, working
in the UK public sector. I then spread my wings to join an international consultancy specialising in thinking, strategy
and troubleshooting. Here, I worked with many of the world's leading companies on four continents to solve some of
their toughest problems, achieving some great results, winning some awards and getting into a couple of books.
After 13 years and becoming a partner on the way, I was made an offer I couldn't refuse from a global technology company to help lead the transformation of their customer experience. I took it for a while but realised quickly that I had an itch that I had to scratch -- to cut through all the fluff, jargon and hot air that surrounds change and give people the means of making real change happen instead.
So in January 2008, we launched Bloomstorm. Since then we've helped a wide range of leading companies do things better.
I think the real story is just beginning – so give me a call or drop me a line and let’s see where it might take us...
Colette’s Story
After a degree in Physics and a year in America where I worked in telesales for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, I returned to the UK to work in B2B sales in the telecoms industry.
Frustrated at being pigeonholed in the sales function, I got another degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing (yes, that’s where we met) before becoming a product manager for an international communications company. While there,
I obtained my DipM from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
After a maternity break, I finished my MBA and became Education Marketing Manager for a space science organisation. This sparked an interest in training and education so I moved to work in Science education for young people.
While I continue my interest in this area, I now run marketing, operations and administration for Bloomstorm, where training and change come together. I look forward to working with you.
