Where does the name 'Bloomstorm' come from?
We'd like to say that the term derives from some ancient celtic term referring to 'Great Change' or some such - but that wouldn't be true. We were talking about setting up the company with our children when the conversation evolved into a spontaneous creativity session about the name of the company. More than seventy names were suggested by Michael (12), Matthew (9) and Catherine (7), riffing on ideas such as growth, mind, thinking, business, results and people.
What we wanted was a name that was short enough to be memorable, distinctive, relevant to our offering and unique. 'Bloomstorm' came about by considering growth ('bloom') and thinking ('-storm' from 'brainstorm'). It ticked all the boxes - and it was our kids' idea: it had to be good.
Once we heard it, the game was over. We registered the company name and domain that same evening. Bloomstorm. We like it. We hope you do too.
